Appropriate Uses for a Ceiling/Wall Mounted Dual Quartz Heater
The ceiling/wall mounted dual quartz heater has been around for nearly a decade. This is the best alternative to installing heat throughout an area. These heaters caught on because of the rising cost of heat during recent history. Factories and other warehouse type structures were unable to substantiate the cost involved for maintaining heat throughout the area. Since warehouses and factories are almost always housed in older buildings that are not insulated well, the heat just escapes while the furnace runs endlessly. Dual quartz heaters placed strategically around even a large space can help to maintain a tolerable temperature while keeping the heating bill on budget. Continue reading

We only realize the value of this appliance in most cases when the temperature of the water coming from our shower head is threatening to give us hypothermia. Continue reading

Why Does Smoke Rise in a Fireplace Flue? It’s Not Just Heat!
Draft in fireplace flues are a combination of HEAT in the firebox, PRESSURE in the flue and a TEMPERATURE DIFFERENTIAL with the outside air. As a flying airplane is coming down toward the ground, in a controlled way of course, it again uses the same aerodynamics as when it took off. It lands and pressures decrease against the wings, and, similarly, when a fire in a fireplace is going out, the pressures decrease, the temperature reduces and heat is going away. Continue reading
